I also enjoy teaching and have taught Public Health, Addiction Counseling and Harm Reduction courses.

I am a graduate of the University of Massachusetts/Amherst and I completed my Master’s degree in Social Work from the Boston University School of Social Work. I also have a Master’s degree in Public Health from the Boston University School of Public Health concentrating on Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. I have recently begun to work in the area of health care coaching for individual’s managing chronic disease.
A great deal of my clinical work has been in the area of Dual Diagnosis, Addiction, Treatment and Recovery. I have worked in a variety of substance abuse settings utilizing traditional recovery based services, harm reduction theory and medication assisted treatment. In addition, my body of work includes a focus on chronic medical conditions most specifically working with consumers affected by HIV/AIDS, viral Hepatitis and Cancer. I also have experience working with Life Transition's, Women's Issues and anxiety and depression.
My patients have described me as supportive, direct, nonjudgmental, and trusting. I am focused on meeting my patients where they are and strive to create a nurturing treatment environment.
